Update, I got a reply from my friend.

He replied today, I just checked : he can do it since he scans most of the issues anyway in order not to have to keep each volume physically. However, right now he is in the middle of moving apparently, so I just told him that was OK and to do what he could whenever possible. When does the manga start ?

I told her when the new manga starts, but I also asked if she can get me into direct contact with the scanner since he probably has an archive of older chapters somewhere.

Nice. I think a preview is in this month's CoroCoro, but he doesn't have to scan that since it's only a preview and not a full chapter.
