We could ask JB2448 to be a QCer. He has QCed Pokémon RéBURST chapter 70 for Pokemon-Originals: jb2448.info/ReBURST/Pokemon_ReBURST_c70/Pokemon_ReBURST_c70_19

It'd be nice if he'd be a QCer.

What about that people that scanlated a chapter /a/non missed. Luoqin, Karrot-kun, and max19950324 would be of great help if they accepted.

max19950324 is a Chinese translator. So, until we have Chinese raws we have no use of him. The other two would make a fine addition though.

I know how we could get as much staff as we want. It involves posting some recruitment messages in a few public places. I don't want to post that, but if anybody wants to volunteer I can give instructions.

I guess I can do that.

The good thing is that we already know these people have experience with scanlations and are well-intended.

Um... I'm kinda new/late to the party but I don't mind helping... I can pretty much do anything aside from obtaining the RAWs and translating. Outside of that, I'm good for whatever. I have Photoshop, and I'm really really good at proofreading, but I'm up for anything else as well.

Umm just suggesting.. Max could help with translating the chinese scans that were uploaded by Duke R I think on JB's website?? just the ones that haven't been translated from the french volumes.
Even though I'm Chinese I'm not much of a reader/writer, just a speaker orz.

It's great to see you here, luo-qin! The chapters (jb2448.info/Fanart/New-chapters) that were not translated by our French fellows are the second one and the Meloetta ones, I suppose. In that case, max would help us a lot!

I believe that changing from Japanese to another language and then to English is not a problem, the French ones were really accurate. And judging by your work with max, I believe he is a very reliable translator.

We should put a recruitment image at the end of the chapters.

We should at least submit releases to jb2448.info, MangaFox, Batoto, MangaTraders and StopTazmo. We are probably going to have to make a separate series for the BW magazine chapters on StopTazmo. There are also a lot of other great manga scans sites, but these are the most important ones.
We should also list our releases on MangaUpdates.

Maybe that will also increase the volunteers. The thought of our first releases makes me so happy. XD and since we still have a few months till vol 45, we don't need to rush.

What image editing software do you use? Do you have any prior experience working with scans? Would you categorize yourself as a cleaner or as a typesetter in terms of experience?

I think we should have our TLer decide if you have the knowledge needed to do good accurate translations.

I don't have any experience with a scan group, although I've done some scanning on my own. I only took three years of Japanese, so I'm not good enough to accurately translate. I'd categorize myself as a typesetter, but cleaning is an option. I can use Photoshop. Does this help?

I personally think that you should be a typesetter for now. If you want you could probably send a sample of some cleaned pages to one of our cleaners and apply for being a cleaner. Photoshop is excellent.
