B2W2 chapters

Someone else would have to do the upscaling, but I can do the typesetting. Wouldn't upscaling cause cleaning issues?

I gave it a try a while ago and I couldn't see any cleaning issues. All that needs to be done is to resize it to 1200 pixels in height and adjust the typesetting and it should be good. I'll finish cleaning the title page when I have time to.

I'm happy to fix the typesetting, but someone else would have to do the upscaling. By the way, what's gonna happen with the team now that we aren't getting any raws?

Ok, ask Ardaal, but I don't see what's so hard with resizing the scans to 1200p. It literally takes three mouse clicks.

We scanlate up to volume 44 and if we have no funds to get debound magazine RAWs, I know two persons who can supply us with non-debound RAWs for free. But, non-debound RAWs are a lot harder and more time consuming to clean.
It's also a good opportunity to take on other Pokémon manga while waiting for funds.

I'm not very good with the resize tool, but I can try.

Edit: Resized. They don't look quite as bad as I thought they would. I'll fix the typesetting later.

A buddy of mine found this photo of the title page. Ardaal, do you think you could clean it?

The problem with cleaning this is the text of course. Even if you blurred that part, it still wouldn't look natural with all the details of original pic gone. The only option is to redraw those parts which is just too hard and might not be possible... even if possible, simply it'd be too much a trouble, even to me who could work a whole day on something x.x'
Anyway, another might-be-possible option would be putting english text on chinese to hide the chinese.

Do what you think is best. I can't Photoshop that.

And a  little problem with the translation.

^ The white chinese in the right I guess?
What's to be in the black box in top right corner then?

^ The sentences are from left to right? How are they to be written in English? Vertically?

Well, in the Japanese and Chinese manga, everything's from right to left, and is read vertically. So, for English, you can do whichever way, I suppose.

The white font is actually furigana, simply, how to pronounce the kanjis in Japanese. If you notice inside the original bubble boxes in Japanese mangas, there are small characters next to kanji, that's furigana. So you can just ignore it.
[ ], well it's not a main problem, you can add it if you want.

I finally got around to QCing the title page now. Sorry for the long wait.

"A start of a new PokeSpe arc!" <-- Change "ark" to "arc". Change PokeSpe to PokéSpe with the accented e. By the way, wouldn't it look better and closer to the original if it was black text on a white area instead of the opposite?
Why are you using Times New Roman? Do you think it fits better? We usually use Anime Ace 2.0 BB. However, it does look quite nice for the "Black 2 White 2" part, in my opinion.
Grayscale a transparent version of the Pokémon logo instead of typing out Pokémon for the Pokémon Special logo on the top of the page.
The black box in the top right corner looks weird when empty. I suggest that you typeset it even if it's just a promotion for Shogakukan and Netkun's sites. I'll send an e-mail to zorua and ask him for a translation.

Nope, it's white text in the Chinese scanlation. You can see the original black text under the added white text if you look closely.

Does Anime Ace 2.0 BB fit?

Anime Ace was the first I tried, Times New Roman fits better than that.
