Re: The Forum Improvement Thread
Yeah, that's annoying. It takes us to threads of any forum by forumotion...Manga Reader X wrote:Could you get rid of the 'similar topics' section near the bottom of the forum?

Re: The Forum Improvement Thread
I haven't seen that one, but I did disabled the similar topics link.
Re: The Forum Improvement Thread
Good. It used to sometimes appear at the bottom of threads, after the last post on the page.
By the way, I customized the new logo so that it fits as a banner. Looks nice ^^

Re: The Forum Improvement Thread
You guys should have a Releases section of the forum so you can make a topic for each released chapter you do.
Also it would be nice if you had your own reader (like CXC scans, Redhawk scans, Sense-Scans, and Akashi scans). Though, I'm not sure how to make one :/
Edit: Here's the software for the reader: http://foolcode.github.io/FoOlSlide/

Re: The Forum Improvement Thread
We will have a releases section, we just haven't made one yet since we don't have any releases yet and we don't want any 'OMG WERE ARE ALL TEH RELASEZ?!?!11?!' questions.
About the manga reader: We are planning to have jb2448.info and batoto.net as recommended places to read it online. Our own manga reader could be an idea, but that's something that GamerGoddess will have to take a look at. I don't know if it works with our forum and then we would have to host the scans as well.

Re: The Forum Improvement Thread
Then they would be resized to 1024 pixel shit quality à la MangaFox. I know some good free image hosts.
We could try bayimg.com. Bayimg doesn't resize, we can upload a whole chapter by just uploading the zip-file and bayimg doesn't like censorship, so they might not remove the scans as fast as other free image hosts would.
We should never use Forumotion's image host to host scans or scanlations. Forumotion would probably kick our asses out and delete our forum if they found out that we were abusing their image hosting service to host copyright protected scans.

Re: The Forum Improvement Thread
Yes: jb2448.info, batoto.net, mangatraders.com and mangafox.me.
I just hope that bayimg allows hotlinking, otherwise it will be worthless.

Re: The Forum Improvement Thread
It turns out that bayimg auto-converts uploaded images to JPG, so we should use another image host. Here are some image hosts that allow huuuge filesizes and resolutions:

Re: The Forum Improvement Thread
Try Format Factory. It's the free software I used to convert files. I can convert any file to any format in a click.
Re: The Forum Improvement Thread
I use Converseen, but that's not the point. We don't need an image converter, we need a good free image host that:
- Allows huge file sizes
- Allows huge resolutions
- Doesn't auto-convert images
- Allows hotlinking
I think most of the image hosts mentioned in my previous post should fit those criterias.
