Ongoing Pokémon Special scanlations

Soooo... Seeing how BW chapters 49 to 61 have been out in France for a while now, any of them you'd want me to translate ? Just wondering if there was anything I could do to help.

Well, so far, only the first chapter of volume 7 and all of the chapters in volume 8 don't have any scans or translations.

We have scans of chapter 49, but no. We won't pick up any more magazine chapters (except maaaaaybe for some XY chapters from Pokémon Fan if we can get RAWs, which we should be able to get).

Reasons:
1. Those chapters are probably all in the Japanese volumes by now or will be soon.
2. The XY chapters from CoroCoro Ichiban will get published in fullsized volumes (184-200 pages) in Japan and VIZ will probably follow with rushed editions of their own.
2. The magazine publishing system cluster-fuck is too much of a headache.
3. When it comes to French chapters the scans are not debound and takes forever to clean properly.

We will focus on volume chapters from now on. Magazine chapters are a huge waste of time anyway. We have set up a dedicated scanlation team that will release volume scanlations on a regular schedule, just like /a/non used to and we have gotten a new, very skilled and quite fast translator. We are currently waiting for him to finish the translation for the next scanlation.

Our Spanish friends over at Lavender Scanlations have scanlated The Mt. As some of you know The Mt. Silver Training chapters have been a secret, long ongoing project that has been on hiatus for way too long due to cleaning difficulties. The reason why it was kept a secret was because we wanted to surprise everyone.

Anyway, I sent our translation of part 2 to Lavender Scanlations. This should speed up the scanlation process for them considerably. They agreed to credit the translator and translation checkers who did the translation for the chapter, as well as including our logo on the credit page, so it is kind of a joint project. We will release our RAWs for both part 1 and 2 since Lavender Scanlations doesn't release RAWs.

So quiet on here. How is everything progressing?

I'm done with chapters 458 and 459 unless I need to edit something for QC purposes and I'm working on typesetting 460. Don't know about any other chapters.

I'm trying to upload the Raw of the training at Mt. Silver, but my connection isn't cooperating...

I'm waiting for some QCs. I should probably ask the QCers how it's going.

Wow, feels like things have really died down in here. After reading the end of volume 46, I'm so pumped to read more instead of waiting for VIZ's translations.

We're kind of stuck on the QCs of 458 and 459 right now. 457 might have to be typesetted again, too. I have 15 pages left on 460 before submitting it for QC. I want to finish 458 and 459 before finishing 460 and possibly redoing 457. Hopefully, the QCs of 458 and 459 will be finished soon so they can be released.

There will be a major announcement tomorrow that will hopefully fix things up a bit.

Status update!

It looks like chapter 458 is ready for release. I'll release it tomorrow or the day after. Chapter 459 still needs the SFX on the last page QCed and then it'll be ready for release, too. It looks like 457 will need to be typesetted again. With the holidays over, I have time to finish typesetting 460.

It looks like we're getting a new typesetter, Kmatt.

Finally, any volunteers to QC and TLC 460?

I have sent an e-mail to ShayminSky about QCing chapter 460 since she has mentioned before that she wanted to help out by QCing. If she is willing to QC it we still need another QCer.

Neophoton has translation checked chapter 460-463, so that has been taken care of.
