Volume 43 and 44 (edited)

Ok, it seems something is coming up, and it's something big.

Volume 45 is coming out at the end of June.

However, 46 will be out in July and 47 in August. Why? I don't know.

They probably want to speed up the pace so that they don't have to do too many arcs at the same time. Maybe?

I noticed they are speeding up the last releases, this has to do with Nintendo's attempt to make Generation VI's launch worldwide. We will soon have the time lapse between Japanese and English volumes much shorter.

XD these coming months will be very busy then. If only we could find more Japanese translators.

I don't mind taking up some translating for the time being, if you're still lacking people.

Shit, new volumes monthly for the next 3 months? If I don't find a summer job soon I won't be able to order 45 on time.

Volume 44 came in today, I'll scan the "dust jacket" tonight and get it debound to scan the pages on Monday/Tuesday. The jacket looks exactly the same as the cover except it's in full color rather than bluescale and has a couple of barcodes on the back cover side. So I don't plan on trying to piece together the actual cover to scan unless there are any major complaints.

Or maybe Kusaka is rushing the volumes because B2W2 is as long as the other "long" chapters and it would be a nightmare for Kusaka if he gets even more behind and it gets to the point where the volumes come out as long as FIVE years after the games come out? (It's three right now.) Hopefully that's the case as I kinda want B2W2 to be long. :/

Where are we on Volume 43 or are we only doing the Chinese chapters right now?

With the new volumes coming out every month, we should get started on Volumes 43 and 44 as soon as possible.

Once everyone's ready, of course.

Are we using golden pidgeot's translations?
Im going to start translating the info pages at the beginning if there's no one working on this volume.

first of all, i call this a rough scanlation for a few reasons

• i’ve only taken about two years of japanese, and even though i’m in the japanese national honors society, there’s only so much two years of japanese can teach you
  

We should make our own translations for the HGSS chapters. Also, if we use anyone else's translation we should notify them at least one week before the scanlation is released.
However, we will use /a/non's translations from the BW magazine scanlations. (I believe Dreamingflower sent /a/non an e-mail about it when we started the group). We will of course credit him.
What chapters in volume 43 are already translated? The HGSS chapters will we at least have to handle ourselves. Also, has I love manga or Asuna08 started translating any chapters? I'm just wondering so that multiple translators don't translate the same chapter.

I did send him a message like ages ago, but /a/non still hasn't replied.

As for translating, I don't know if I love manga has started, but Kyla (Asuna08) has a broken laptop. She has been using her mothers phone to get on FB.

I've noticed after working a while that there are some parts that are the same as the previous volume. So, I'm prioritizing the ones that are different first.
It's still work in progress though.

Hello! I would be interested in helping with the translation work, and I was told to ask here about which chapter I should start working on.
(Also, if anyone could point me to where I can find a basic rundown of things regarding translations of Pokemon/character/item names, as well as preferred format and where my translation should go, I'd appreciate it!)
