Hello everyone,

I'd love to contribute in any way that I can. I have some experience with photoshop, and am currently taking a class for it but I have no prior experience with editing scans, nor do I think I would do best as a type setter, other than the placement. I'm not the greatest with fonts and size, but I'd be willing to do some proof-reading here and there.

I think you fit best as a quality checker right now.

Hey, this sounds interesting, so I'm in.

I have a good bit of experience with Photoshop (and InDesign, would that help?), a little bit of Japanese knowledge, and though I've never done any cleaning/typesetting myself, I'm definitely interested in learning. I also mod pokespe-fanart.tumblr.com, so I can do advertising if that's needed. The only problem is that I'm not sure how much time I'll have to spare, but if anyone needs an extra hand then I'd be happy to help!

Oh, and I think someone mentioned fonts; I have all the fonts that /a/non mentioned on his tutorials, so if anyone needs them I can upload them somewhere.

Nice to have you on board. What is the Chinese 'sign' for translator? I thought that I would make a Chinese version of the translator emblem, since the current version has the Japanese 'sign' for translator.

You know what? I have an idea: Add the perspective language for the specific language on top of the three characters. For example: For a Chinese translator like me we can add "中文" (Chinese) on the top of "翻譯員". Japanese, if I remember correctly on kenji, would be "日本語" (Japanese). How 'bout that?

I would have to edit all emblems then to make the symbols and the text begin at the same pixel. And then I would want to add 'Chinese' and 'Japanese' to the emblem text as well to make the translation accurate. I think there might not be enough space for that and I rather keep the emblem text just as 'Translator'. And getting the text to begin on the same pixel for all emblems would be impossible then without redoing all emblems with a smaller font size, because of the amount of space the 'Quality Checker' text takes up. It's a good suggestion though, but I think I will pass.

As for tumblr blogs, there are quite a few personal blogs that post Pokemon Special stuff, but not a lot of actual Pokespe-exclusive blogs that I'm aware of. Either way, I reblogged that post, so hopefully it'll start going around.

Hello! I heard about this and I'd like to help in any way I can. I'm afraid that I don't know much Japanese, but i'm pretty good at the English language. If you ever need a check up, just let me know! Other than that, I would be more than happy to get the word out. uwu

Woah man, I was tempted to get this project up myself and learn Japanese alone but this is neat. Idk if you need anyone but I have free time and can proofread mangled translations, I have experience in that from trying to teach a Japanese friend proper English which is probably harder than this lol.

I got rid of photoshop a while ago but I did do a couple pages of spiffing up for a friend before so I guess that counts as something too right? But I doubt you guys will need me at this rate, looking at all the people jumping at it is great.

We don't have any translation checkers, so if you could TLC, that would be great. You can also free to typeset and clean, if you know how to properly do that.
